After taking over your dog, you have ten days to register it for dog tax with the Basel-Stadt cantonal veterinary office. Use the official online form or the counter at Schlachthofstrasse 55 in Basel. Submit a separate form for each dog, naming just one person as its holder. Microchip registration in AMICUS is a separate process carried out by a veterinary practice. The link below takes you to registration with the canton.
